SOHUM

BE HERE NOW

SOHUM or ( Soham) is a Sanskrit  phrase meaning, " I am That,"  formed by two words ,   sah/so (that/he)   and   Aham/hum ( I or I am) and is the response to the philosophical question " Who am I? "

It is the connection to the All, everything and everyone in the Universe, including the divinity within each of us.

Every inhale is a reminder of being alive, a creation of life within itself, and each exhale is a moment of grounding gratitude for the chance to be alive, to be conscious, to BE HERE NOW. ( Thank you Ram Dass )

There is a divine wisdom and boundless creative wellspring within each individual soul that comes from the same source. Connecting to that source within is a direct pathway to empathizing and understanding the existence of ALL which lives outside of you and inside of you. It does not need to be seen, or heard, or touched, only felt. This "Source" or idea of connection has been seen and written about for centuries. Although it may come in different forms, other languages, from various people, there is a thread of connectivity in it all.

"When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world." - John Muir

"We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results." -Herman Melville

"The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself." Carl Sagan

1 Corinthians 12:12-14  12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. -Paul the Apostle

At SOHUM, we believe we are all in this human experience together, separate in our unique lives, but united in love. The compassion and understanding we have for ourselves is a direct reflection of how we treat and respond to others, including nature.  Our love for connection and unity inspires everything we create. Through community, creativity, self awareness, love, and passion for life, we stand in awe of this incredible existence, and we live to honor and lift up everyone and everything we come in contact with.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. We look forward to connecting with you!

 In Love,

 The SOHUM Tribe
